We are enormously grateful to one of the lovely helpers at the BADER BRAVES Young Aviators Day, which was held at Haverfordwest Airport on Saturday 8th June.
Leia Fee was an enormous help on the day in every way, and, with help from her mother, last seen leaving the airfield with a car boot full of sandwiches (thank you, Leia’s mum!), even managed to find a worthy charity very happy to take the leftover picnics at the end.
Leia has already kindly send in some photographs and video clips she took during the day. You can see these and more on the recent Haverfordwest Flying Day Report.
Leia, herself a keen flyer, has kindly allowed us all access to her wonderful Blog where she has done a great write-up of her experience on Saturday. It makes great reading and, as well as the very successful Young Aviators Day, there is also fascinating coverage of aeroplanes and flying itself. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her dedication to learning this new and challenging skill is an inspiration. I’m sure that the Braves who were lucky enough to be at Haverfordwest, many experiencing their first flights in a light aircraft, also with enormous enthusiasm, will be interested to learn more about it from someone they met in person. There is also a great little film, put together by Leia herself, of the day which will, I’m sure, bring back many happy memories.
You can fly to Leia’s Blog by clicking on the BADER BRAVES Red Aeroplane. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
* Very many thanks to Leia from all at The Douglas Bader Foundation. We very much hope to see you at Haverfordwest again next year! *Bader Braves, Haverfordwest Airport, Young Aviators Day
