Do you know an inspiring person whose bravery, fundraising, courage or fortitude deserves recognition? We’re seeking nominations for The Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards 2017.
The Pride of Britain Awards sees politicians, royalty and the stars of show business join together to honour the nation’s unsung heroes. Winners range from members of the armed forces and emergency services who have gone beyond the call of duty to courageous children and adults, charity fundraisers, care workers and community activists.
Last year’s winners included:
- Karen Johnson, who, given the devastating news her two sons would die from a rare condition, dedicated her life to finding a cure so other parents would not suffer the same agony
- Rhea Kara, who was so moved by the plight of children with an incurable condition that she painted a picture each day for 100 days and sold them, raising thousands for research
- Nikki Christou, a schoolgirl with a life-threatening condition who became a social media star, with her video blogs showing others how to cope with chronic illness
If you’d like to nominate someone then we’d love to hear about them
