All applications will be looked at with potentially successful ones going on to be considered by the Grant Committee. Depending on the nature of the request, the Bader Grant Scheme may help towards or provide the equipment, training, services, further education or other practical support required by the successful applicant.

We are a small charity with limited resources and grants will reflect this. With the best will in the world we are unable to offer large sums to successful applicants but hope that the contribution we are able to make will go some way towards helping the recipient to achieve their goal in the “can do” spirit of Sir Douglas.

We have recently introduced grants in the name of Joan Bader who died in December 2015. These Lady Bader Memorial Grants will be allocated at the DBF’s discretion to applicants who we feel reflect her own lifetime interests and achievements. Special Awards in her name may also be allocated in individual circumstances.

Since the inception of the Bader Grant Scheme in 1995, the DBF has allocated hundreds of grants to a diverse group of individuals and groups to support them in achieving a wide range of goals and dreams. We consider the Bader Grant Scheme to be a very important aspect of the Douglas Bader Foundation’s work.

How to Apply: You will find links to 2 versions of our new Bader Grant Application Form below this post. The first will download as a Word Doc Form that you can complete and return online and the second will open in a separate tab as a pdf form, which you can fill in and return by post.
