We have added a new “GENERAL INTEREST” Page to the Website.
Here you will be able to read stories and information relating to Douglas Bader and the Douglas Bader Foundation.
We already have a fascinating article on Colditz Castle, where Douglas was held prisoner of war by the Germans, written by Steve McNeice (only the 2nd double amputee to escape from Colditz!). Being a double amputee himself, Steve found out at first hand how difficult the terrain alone must have been for Sir Douglas during his time there.
We also have a warm and in-depth interview between Gautam Lewis, founder of the wonderful organisation, Freedom in the Air, and David Bickers, Chairman of the DBF.
Both are well worth checking out and we are very grateful to both these contributors.
We are always looking for contributions so, if you have a story you think would be relevant and that you’d like to share, do please contact us by clicking HERE.
We hope you enjoy this new addition to the Website.Tags: amputee, Bader, Colditz, Colditz Castle, David Bickers, Douglas Bader, Freedom in the Air, Gautam Lewis, Steve McNeice
