We’ve been contacted by Hannah Frankel from the Times Educational Supplement with a request for interview volunteers.
The TES is looking for teachers or former teachers who have lost a limb and who would be willing to talk about their experiences for a regular TES column called “The Day My Life Changed”. This looks at life changing, personal events that other heads or teachers may be able to relate to, or at the very least, be interested in.
Volunteers would be interviewed over the ‘phone and could be kept anonymous if preferred.
The information you provide could well be of ultimate benefit to other amputees if it helps to raise awareness of particular difficulties or challenges as experienced by amputee teachers and thereby improve conditions for them through increased understanding. Do, please, give it a go.
Hannah Frankel (Writer, TES Magazine) can be contacted either by ‘phone on 020 3194 3117 or by email:Hannah.Frankel@tsleducation.com
