Amputees Sought to Help with Research

We’ve been contacted by Ottillie Cook, a student who hopes to improve the lot of amputees through her chosen research project. She is looking for amputees to take part  and provide information so if you think you can help Ottillie, please contact her via the email address below.

As you’ll see, all responses have to be in before 6pm on the 16th April so please don’t delay. Ottillie will be delighted to hear from you.

Hi all,

My name is Ottillie, I’m a 22-year-old student at Nottingham Trent University currently studying Education Studies and Psychology. After extensive research, I’ve decided as part of my final year project, to investigate the lived experiences of people with amputation. I would like to find out your first-hand experiences throughout the process of your rehabilitation. Understanding your experiences allows researchers, including myself, to widen the knowledge within this area, which will be targeted towards beneficial future research. This may include providing effective support for persons such as yourselves whilst undergoing rehabilitation.

To hear your experiences, the study involves first, the completion of a personality test, followed by a short telephone interview with myself where I will record the interview in order to later analysis your responses. Any responses are required before 6pm on the 16th of April 2018.

It is entirely up to you whether you would like to participate in this study. Any contributions towards my research project are much appreciated. If you do wish to participate, please get in contact with me via email. I can then email you the correct documents for you to read and sign your consent to participate. Further arrangements will be made from there.

Thank you in advance for your participation. I hope to hear from you soon

Ottillie Cook
