We’re grateful to Sonia Sanghani, author of Stumps & Cranks (an Introduction to Amputee Cycling), for bringing the Cyclone Festival of Cycling, now only 4 weeks away, to our attention.
Cycling is known to be a great sport for amputees with benefits to health and fitness and a very friendly and supportive social aspect. As you will see, entries close on the 5th June so you need to move quickly if you’d like to take part. Why not make a weekend of it?! The event programme and entry details etc. will be found on the Cyclone Website, which you can find by clicking on the link underneath the Flyer.
Sonia will be there and taking part in the Friday evening ride and hopes to have some copies of her book available to sell at the event. Stumps & Cranks is a great introduction to cycling for amputees with lots of useful hints and tips so, if you haven’t already got a copy, nab one at the festival or you can order one from Amazon.
