We’ve been contacted by Bath based photographer, Mark Benham. As you will see below Mr. Benham is offering double or single amputees who use a wheelchair the opportunity to take part in a photographic project with a view to changing the preconceptions the public might have about amputees.
Check out the Flyer below and if you feel that you’d like to take part contact Mark Benham either by telephone or email using the details he’s provided. The Flyer will give you an idea of the quality of Mr. Benham’s photography but to see more of his beautiful and very powerful images please also have a look at his website. The link is at the bottom of this post.
A portrait of double or single Amputees
My name is Mark Benham, I am a photographer based in Bath, Somerset. I am putting a call out to those without one or both legs, who use a wheelchair for mobility, even occassionally, to participate in a photographic project. The aim of the project is to try and change the perception the general public have of amputees. By telling your individual stories I hope that people will see that amputees are not, and should not be defined by being in a wheelchair.
I seek willing participants, young and old, male and female, for a series of photographic portraits. Each participant would be photographed and intervied in their home setting (allow up to two hours, preferably mid morning). There will be a short written story about those selected for inclusion in the final project. I will ask participants to talk about their lives, before and after losing limbs. Those who are great achievers are of particular interest, but this project is not just about them.
Thank you in advance, I hope you will consider participating.
Please conatct me directly on 07944 883651 or by email email@example.com
