After another steep learning curve I finally worked out how to upload a DVD onto YouTube and the result – eventually – is that you can now see photographer Sandra Demar’s footage of TEAM BADER, DBF Ambassadors and TEAM BADER founders, Wyn Jenkins and Margaret (Maggz) Biggs and fellow amputee cyclists, Gemma Trotter and Colin Davies, with their supporting cyclists crossing the line at The Mumbles after their Tandem Challenge Wales.
Wyn and Maggz, both leg amputees completed the 200 mile ride on a tandem accompanied by Gemma and Colin, also both leg amputees, on 2-wheelers. They and their wonderful supporting cyclists from CMC (County Merlin Cycles ) took 4 days to complete the gruelling ride and this is the heart-warming footage of their arrival outside Verdi’s Restaurant at The Mumbles. Not a dry eye at the house!
Sincere thanks to Wyn and Maggz who undertook the challenge to raise funds for the Douglas Bader Foundation (it’s not too late to donate to their JustGiving Page). To County Cycles at Cross Hands, Llanelli, who made the event possible and to Sandra Demar for this film and the photos you can see on the latest News Post.
Hop on the bike to zoom to YouTube where you’ll be able to share the moment.CMC, Colin Davies, County Cycles, County Merlin Cycles, Gemma Trotter, leg amputee, Margaret Biggs, Sandra Demar, Tandem Challenge Wales, Team Bader, The Mumbles, Verdi's Restaurant, Wyn Jenkins
