DBF Ambassadors, Wyn Jenkins and Margaret Biggs, will undertake to ride the 200 miles vertical axis of Wales on a tandem between the 12th – 15th April.
The route will take Wyn and Maggz, both amputee cyclists, from Holyhead to Mumbles passing through Porthmadog, Machynlleth, Aberystwyth, Tregaron, Lampeter, Llandeilo, Annamford, Pontarddulais and Swansea en route.
We will be publishing a map of the route shortly so that you can come along to support them. Please keep checking the Website for details.
They are very kindly undertaking this challenge to raise funds for the Douglas Bader Foundation. You can contribute to their success by donating through their JustGiving Page. We are very grateful for all donations, however small, and you can be sure that all funds received on behalf of Tandem Challenge Wales will be put to very good use helping the DBF to continue its invaluable work on behalf of amputees and other disabled.
The DBF is very grateful to County Cycles for the loan of their tandem for the practice sessions and the Challenge itself. They are also responsible for sending us some excellent photographs of Wyn and Maggz in action.
