Bader Grant Recipient, Rob Franks, will be taking part in Dorset’s first wheelchair boxing match in Bournemouth on March 28th.

Video Report by ITV News Meridian’s Andrew Pate

Rob, from Poole, had his leg amputated two years ago, following complications when a tumour was removed.

I haven’t boxed for 25 years and the last time I did I was on two legs. Rob Franks

Rob says, “I’m really looking forward to it. I haven’t boxed for 25 years and the last time I did I was on two legs. So yeah, doing it in a wheelchair is really different, but I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

We’ll be rooting for the “One Legged Warrior” on March 28th. Best of luck, Rob!
