Bader’s Big Band Meet up Again

The Bader’s Big Band team met up again last weekend for their second rehearsal session at Tedworth House, in Tidworth. This beautiful old building, Help for Heroes Recovery Centre in the South, was the home for the Band members for the weekend and we are indebted to Help for Heroes for allowing us to use their excellent facilities and their support during our stay.

Great progress was made and it is wonderful to see how the musicians are beginning to get to know each other, both personally and musically, enabling them to relax and enjoy playing together. The sound is definitely benefitting as a result as you will see from the short film taken by Charley Bickers during the rehearsal.

Band Leader, Paul Clark, ably assisted here by a very promising young conductor, was delighted with the progress made and confidence gained over the weekend. It bodes well for the Band’s first live performance which, with Chase Park Festival sadly being postponed until next year, will now be at the OHMI Gala in Birmingham on the 7th September. Not long to wait!

We will report on how that goes in due course but keep you fingers crossed for our wonderful musicians and watch this space for more news…
