It is with great regret that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to postpone the “BADER’S BIG BAND” Residential Weekend scheduled to take place at Help for Heroes Tedworth House in Tidworth on the 8th-10th December.
Both the musicians and the DBF contingent were greatly looking forward to the weekend, which would have allowed us to make big strides forward culminating in in our first live performance on the Sunday afternoon. We have no doubt it would have been a lot of fun as well as a musically rewarding experience!
All is not lost though; this is very definitely only a postponement. Tedworth House have kindly offered us an alternative weekend next year, dates to be confirmed once Tedworth have got their own commitments in the calendar.
On the positive side, this does mean that any musicians out there who have a physical disability or a diagnosed mental health condition and who may have been thinking about auditioning for “BADER’S BIG BAND” now have time to turn thinking into doing! We still have room for a few more and, while keen to hear from all musicians, would particularly welcome applications from Saxophonists and Trombonists. Please contact Paul Clark, Band Leader, if you’d like more information by emailing: email@example.com or, if you know you’d like to be part of this exciting and ambitious project, just take the plunge and fill in the application form below.
“BADER’S BIG BAND” is the first performing band made up almost entirely of musicians from the UK with a physical disability or a diagnosed mental health condition. We also intend that it will not just be a “good” band, but an “excellent” band.
We have a lovely and talented group of musicians already so why not come along, swell the sound and join a wonderfully warm and supportive Big Band for recordings and performances in 2018.
Start the New Year with a (harmonious) bang!
