Are you a physically disabled or a visually impaired person? Why not try shooting?
Over the weekend of 25th & 26th July, Felixstowe Rifle Club (FRC) will be running Taster Days in support of The British Paralympic Association (BPA), which is planning a National Paralympic Day on 26th July, the objective is to get more disabled people to take up a sport.
At FRC our objective is to enable physically disabled and visually impaired (VI) people to try shooting air rifles and air pistols as a sport. This is a sport where disabled and VI shooters can compete alongside, and equally with, non-disabled shooters – various aids being allowed, from rests for the weapons to audio-aiming systems for the VI.
Any physically disabled or VI person over the age of 12 years is invited to try our sport. There will be personal instruction at all times.
We will be pre-booking sessions of one and half hours, between 10am and 4pm on both Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July
There will be a nominal charge of £5.00 – this will include the loan of all equipment including various supports and aids as required, plus the supply of air pellets.
