As part of the Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month (#LLLDAM) this April, we’re very happy to share the news of LimbPower’s Spring into Action initiative! This great and imaginative event from LimbPower will be a virtual alternative to their annual Family Fun Day and promises to be just as exciting!
As you may know from previous posts, a consortium of like-minded charities have joined forces in honour of Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month (#LLLDAM) so that people with limb loss and limb difference can check out all the support and activities that are available to them through the various organisations. We are very proud to be working withFinding Your Feet; LimbPower; The Limbless Association (LA); REACH and Steel Bones, and support groups: The Amputation Foundation; BOLDkids; The IAMPOSSIBLE Foundation; Jo’s Odd Shoes; The LimbBo Foundation; MAAF (The Midlands Association for Amputees and Friends); Opus and PIP-UK.
The consortium has a community website (link at the bottom of this post) where you will be able to check out what each of these amazing charities can offer you and select the support and activities best suited to your personal situation and requirements.
Read on for LimbPower’s Press Release on this great new venture and then do get in touch and take part. It promises to be a lot of fun!
