A new charity – Everybody’s Cycling, provides a range of fun and practical cycling experiences, activities and events to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of cycling.
We were delighted to learn about this venture as the benefits of sport are well known for people with disabilities and cycling, particularly when an appropriate bicycle can be made available, is a wonderfully inclusive activity.
We love bikes, but it’s really all about people. Everybody’s Cycling Founders, Jim and Sally McGurn
Everybody’s Cycling’s fleet of adapted cycles includes tricycles, recumbents, wheelchair transporters, companion cycles, steer from the rear tandems, and handcycles, so there really is something for everyone.
A new charity – Everybody’s Cycling, is an offshoot from the charity Get Cycling and, while the two organisations still work closely together, they also operate in slightly different ways to support their different communities. This, of course, offers up more opportunities and help for potential cyclists and links to both charities will be provided at the bottom of this post for further information.
Here are some of the cycling experiences which Everybody’s Cycling can provide (all links will open in separate tabs):
- Bike Try-Out events with our fleet of conventional, unusual, and adapted cycles
- Bike Doctor workshops with tuition included
- Practical get-into-cycling sessions
- Family Fun Days with pedal powered arcade games, inflatable track and Megabikes
- Team Building events including our seven-seater Circle-Cycle
- Guided bike rides with cycles supplied (including tandems)
Big changes are on the way, and cycling needs to be part of that happier future. Jim and Sally McGurn
