A Unique Opportunity for a Single or Double Amputee who uses a Wheelchair for Mobility to Take Part in a Photo Shoot with a Professional Photographer

Mark Benham originally contacted us back in March regarding this opportunity for single or double amputees who sometimes use a wheelchair for mobility to participate in a photo shoot. Mark has had some responses but is looking for a few more people to apply for the project.

Mark is clearly a wonderful photographer and, with his permission, I thought I’d include a small selection of his earlier work to show you that having your portrait taken him would produce a photograph to be proud of. Don’t miss what is a unique opportunity.

Please contact Mark using the details below if you’d like to take part or would like more information.

A portrait of double or single Amputees

My name is Mark Benham, I am a photographer based in Bath, Somerset. I am putting a call out to those without one or both legs, who use a wheelchair for mobility, even occassionally, to participate in a photographic project. The aim of the project is to try and change the perception the general public have of amputees. By telling your individual stories I hope that people will see that amputees are not, and should not be defined by being in a wheelchair.

I seek willing participants, young and old, male and female, for a series of photographic portraits. Each participant would be photographed and intervied in their home setting (allow up to two hours, preferably mid morning). There will be a short written story about those selected for inclusion in the final project. I will ask participants to talk about their lives, before and after losing limbs. Those who are great achievers are of particular interest, but this project is not just about them.

Thank you in advance, I hope you will consider participating.

Please conatct me directly on 07944 883651 or by email
