A message from Bader Grant Recipient, Simon Heaps, who is raising funds to represent his country in the 2022 Commonwealth Para Games. Simon had to postpone his fundraising Table Tennis Marathon due to the Covid-19 lockdown but has finally been able to reschedule it for the end of October.
We will be featuring an interview with this inspiring sportsman in October so keep checking in…
Hi
I am trying to raise funds to support my programme and try to get to play for England in the 2022 Commonwealth Para Games at Wheelchair Table Tennis after I had my right leg amputated in May 2019.This has been a life changing experience for myself and my family. I am currently 65 and will be 67 when the Games come around in 2 years time. I get no funding whatsoever and need to raise funds to cover my International travel, accommodation and entries along with my equipment and coaching costs.
I am holding a 24 hour Table Tennis Marathon on 24th/25th October whereby people can sponsor my by the hour or with a set amount, regardless how many hours I complete.
Would you be willing to pledge an amount to support me on my “ journey”
You can pledge now by responding with an amount and I will contact you upon completion or you can donate now by clicking on the Link below.
