One of our worthy DBF Grant recipients, OHMI (The One-Handed Musical Instrument Trust), is going to be running 2 workshop days in conjunction with HemiHelp and Reach.
OHMI is going from strength to strength and this is the first year that they have had sufficient capacity to be able to offer music workshops at the events so this represents a very exciting step forward for them.
The first workshop is planned as part of the HemiHelp fun day. HemiHelp are celebrating their 25th anniversary on 4th September 2016 with a fund day at Frensham Heights School in Surrey. There are already 85 children signed up for this day.
HemiHelp is a membership organisation supporting children and young people with hemiplegia, and their families. You can learn more about HemiHelp and the fun day at Frensham Heights by checking out the website: http://www.hemihelp.org.uk/about_us/what_we_do/events/frensham_fun_day
The second workshop will be with Reach at their annual conference on 21st October 2016 which is always a popular and well attended event.
Reach “It’s Ability not Disability that Matters” is the leading children’s charity providing support and information to those affected by upper limb difference. You can find out more about them by visiting their Website: http://www.reach.org.uk
