Double HD Amputee sought by October Films.
October Films are looking for a female double HD (Hip Displacement) amputee to represent somebody who was born without legs for a current film project.
As you would be representing a real person who has been interviewed for the documentary featured in the film, the applicant for this part will need to be white with dark hair and around 20 years old. There would be room for some flexibility regarding hair colour for the right applicant. The film will cover different times in the interviewee’s life, specifically ages 9 and 20 with one double HD amputee representing each age. Casting is already complete for the 9 year old and the search is still on for the 20 year old.
There is no particular requirement for any previous acting experience or ability as the method of filming will be more impressionistic than that requiring words to be said and emotions to be expressed. DBFhas had experience with October Films and we know it will be sensitively and sympathetically filmed.
Filming is currently due to take place on the 12th, 13th and 14th September in Norfolk at former RAF Coltishall, and you would need to be available for one day within that period although this, to a degree, could be scheduled around your availability.
If you’d like more information or to be considered for the part, please contact Stuart Jones at October Films.
