Ready Steady Cook – Opportunity to take part

Ready Steady Cook

Ready Steady Cook, the iconic BBC One cooking show presented by Rylan Clark-Neal, is going into a second series and looking for applicants. Remarkable TV, who will be casting the show, are keen to include people with disabilities and would very much like to hear from amputees and people with limb difference this year:

Despite reaching out to UK amputees and the limb-loss or limb different community we unfortunately did not have any applicants last year.

In order to embrace diversity, the set of Ready Steady Cook will be adapted to accommodate all applicants’ accessibility needs.

Remarkable TV are looking for dynamic competing pairs to cook against each other in ‘light-hearted competition’! These pairs could be colleagues, friends, partners of family and will be teamed up with one of the fantastic participating chefs, who will each bring a different expertise from the culinary world. Don’t worry – you wouldn’t need to be an expert in the kitchen to take part, Ready Steady Cook would love to hear from people with no kitchen experience at all as much as from those who consider themselves to be pros! The important thing is to be prepared to have fun getting stuck into the challenge.

The show will reflect contemporary food themes such as cooking on a budget, eating healthily, managing food waste and feeding the whole family, mirroring changes in food and British cooking over the past decade. If you have stories relating to perfecting a relative’s signature dish, creating family meals cheaply, undergoing a complete dietary revamp or other food–related issues or experiences, this show could be made for you!

Food is something that brings us all together – and we want to the show to celebrate all the different ways it does this.

The series will be filmed in January 2021 in accordance with government guidelines concerning Covid-19.
