…and it’s not good news, I’m afraid.
Sadly, although not altogether unexpectedly, it has just been confirmed that all our remaining Young Aviators Days until the end of September have been cancelled as a result of Covid-19. Even if lockdown is eased sufficiently, the complications involved in sanitising light aircrafts between flights and social distancing both in the ‘plane and the flying club, make it logistically impossible for the participating airfields to hold the events. With huge regret on the part of the participating airfields and all at the DBF, the only option is to cancel the events and hope that we may be able to resume next year. We will, of course, keep you updated.

At the moment the rescheduled Young Aviators Day at Sandown, Isle of Wight, on Saturday 3rd October is still looking possible but a final decision will be made by the end of August and we’ll let you know the outcome.
