Sir Douglas Bader was a legend in his own lifetime and his legacy lives on through the Douglas Bader Foundation, who in the 40 years since their creation in 1982 have continued to help, support, advise and inspire countless numbers of people who have been affected by limb loss or other physical challenges.
This beautifully designed and colourful book celebrates those 40 years in detail but also looks back further in time to Douglas’ early years, his life in the RAF, life after his amputation and the start of his tireless charity work that led to the forming of the Douglas Bader Foundation.
The photographs are exceptional and the writing insightful and the heavyweight gloss paper makes this book a quality item and a fitting tribute to Douglas and the Douglas Bader Foundation.
All proceeds go directly to the Douglas Bader Foundation enabling them to continue their work.
